High School Biomedical Research Program
Summary
The High School Biomedical Research Program (HSBRP) began in 1987 with a
grant from the National Institutes of Health. Its purpose is to increase the
biomedical awareness and experiences of high school students, especially in the
field of neuroscience. Major components include the Summer Program, the
International Brain Bee, Project HEARTS, the Brain Literature Competition, the
Brain Art Competition, and Baltimore Brains Rule! All high school students are
eligible and encouraged to participate especially disadvantaged students. All
components of this award-winning program are free. Information, instructions and
